Our Beautiful Mess: A Day in the Life: 7.5 Year, 4.1 Year & 15 Month Edition

5:00 -- My alarm goes up but if we are being honest I actually woke up at 4:00, but this time I actually get up so I can go exercise. Mornings are hard, man.

5:35 -- I do like that my workout is so short and I'm heading back upstairs for a shower.

5:51 -- And back downstairs again to work for a bit in the peace and quiet.

6:43 -- I think all I do is walk up and down the stairs because I'm heading back up to finish getting ready for the day.

7:00 -- And this is where the quiet ends and the chaos begins.

7:09 -- Everyone is dressed so we head downstairs to get some breakfast.

7:18 -- Rob heads off to work and the kids sit down to eat breakfast

7:45 -- They are done eating and teeth are brushed, so they are playing for a bit before school. (And can we all admit that it's hard to get a decent picture before there's natural light in the house!)

7:55 -- Off into the rain

8:26 -- Emma and I are home again and much wetter for it.

9:01 -- I have breakfast.

The rest of the morning was spent mostly deep cleaning the kitchen. My house is a disaster so I am just moving room to room trying to get it cleaned up. It's going to take a bit but if we take care of the room I've already hit then maybe the house will stay decent. Because right now it's bad.

11:12 -- Emma and I head back into the rain to get Connor and I'm pretty sure it's raining harder now...

11:31 -- Home and very wet.

11:36 -- I turn on an Avengers show because it's raining and I'm beat (and wet), plus we have some time to kill before lunch.

11:44 -- I prep my lunch.

12:04 -- Lunch time! Emma has chicken nuggets, pears, a couple raisins, cheese and a couple Cheetos. Connor has a hot dog on bread, Cheetos, and raisins. I have my salad and pita.

12:53 -- It's naptime! Connor lays on the living room floor while I take Emma up to change her diaper and read. She was definitely ready for that nap!

I work during naptime on shop stuff. There is always something to do. I did orders this morning so it was design work this afternoon.

3:15 -- I get Emma up so we can start getting ready to go get Addie.

3:25 -- And we're off. Luckily it's not raining so much now.

3:50 -- We are home again and just beat a huge downpour. Addie gets started on her homework to get it done with.

4:15 -- Addie finished her homework and after a few false starts Connor and Addie start playing peacefully together. Emma mostly just hovers around sometimes checking out what they are doing and other times sitting with me and playing with something.

4:36 -- Rob texts me that he's on his way home so I get up to start dinner.

4:49 -- Rob's home.

5:14 -- Dinner time. We have carbonara with peas and spring onions plus some bread.

5:35 -- Chaos.

Rob kept the kids playing while I did the dishes and finished some tasks I didn't get to earlier.

6:56 -- Addie heads off to the shower.

7:19 -- Emma gets her yogurt. She didn't eat much for dinner so we are giving her yogurt tonight (we don't do it every night) just to make sure she has enough to keep her full through the night.
