January // I remember a time when Stella was the focus of most of my pictures. She used to sleep on
me all the time (sometimes she still does), but way less these days since there is a little person who hangs around me all the time.
February // I don't remember much from this month. Rob's family came for a visit the weekend we found out we were pregnant with Addison, but we weren't telling. We were both pretty cranky that weekend. (Our Weekend in (Two) Photographs)
March // We took our pictures and announced our pregnancy. We had fun taking the pictures and were obviously beyond thrilled. (Chapter 1: The Great Reveal)
April // We decided to start looking for a house. But we didn't move soon enough because while we were both at work our apartment flooded with a dishwasher above us that stopped draining. It was a mess and nothing too bad happened to our stuff. However we didn't have a ceiling for awhile which was taken down by the flooring guys who didn't tell the apartment office. It was a mess. (The Day the Apartment Flooded, Part I & Part II)
June // June is always a big moment in our family. Father's Day, Rob's birthday, and our anniversary. This year was our first year anniversary plus we moved into our house on our anniversary and I was 21 weeks pregnant. (Wedding Week: A Year Later)
July // We were all moved in and unpacking during this month. Rob had annual training and was gone for a couple of weeks. And we found out that we were indeed having a girl this month. But my favorite thing from this month that makes me laugh is that everything survived the move with no problem, but as we were unpacking I found a bouncing ball. Combine that with bad aim and you have this... (Breaking Glass)
August // We took our annual birthday trip to SDC, which also happened to be the last trip before Addison came into our lives. Our freedom to do things when we want as we want changed drastically, but we wouldn't have it any other way. But that trip will always be our last just the two of us. (Our Weekend in Photographs)
September // We were in our final stretch during September and was finishing getting things ready for Addison's arrival. Not much else happened, except for the fact that that handsome man of mine was promoted to Captain. I'm all kinds of proud of him. (Captain, My Captain!)
October // So something awesome happened this month. Do I even have to explain? (Chapter 10: A Birth Story)
November // This month was mostly spent trying to figure out how to be parents. Luckily she was such a happy, awesome baby. I skipped the Marine Corps Birthday Ball that year thanks to a little girl. And we had Thanksgiving at our house because we weren't going to be traveling. It was nice to have everyone in the same place at the same time. (Our Thanksgiving in Photographs)
December // Addie's first Christmas. She had no idea what was happening and slept through most of it, but it was good. Every day Daddy and Addie got closer and closer. She was a little daddy's girl from the start. I loved to watch them together then just as much as I love it now.
